Filling the nail holes in paradise

2017, Saturday the 14th.  While a lesbian couple, in their function as pastors in Washington DC, prepare the first sermon and on the pavement of the church a group of true believers, of a competing religion clan, are calling for a lynch party, tat a stone's throw away, the last nail holes are filled with toothpaste, because in a few days the removal vans will  be in front of the door and the residents , according to the terms in the tenancy agreement, must leave the White House in it’s original state.  Meanwhile an "off-grid" idealist throws, in capital letters, here believes on the internet, puts up photos of herself and her utopian environment, spreading her natural and ecological solutions for day-to-day concerns of life.  In full conviction fighting against the system, against the authority of corrupt chosen politicians, against globalization, against the pollution of the planet, she show’s us how things can be done differently.  From an illegal construction work on her own piece of paradise, completely independent of paid links with the outside world by its own energy supply and water source, wearing her days with chopping wood, growing vegetables, making jams, meditate and experimenting, she shares all her successes through social media and tries to convince us to do the same.  That there is not enough space on the world if everyone would only take care of themselves, that it, hiding for social obligations, but continue to use services provided and payed for by others like "free" health insurance, infrastructure and a justice system whereby you can’t just be driven out of your little paradise, of course, are just side issues.  Suddenly Globalisation appears not so bad as you put another "crowd-funding" action on the global internet, because that utopian story, after all, comes with a price tag.  While on the lonely hill, between the small-scale farmers who kept the local world turning for hundreds of years and for many years to come, a worried wife makes a thick sweater for her, bad singing sawdust maker, a Portuguese dog has fun with the lower leg of a dead cow, the daily morning ritual of coffee, writing, translating, coffee, photo editing, Tai Chi exercises , a walk with the dog, coffee...  today somehow takes a bit more time.
